In the marvellous setting of the Galleria Alberto Sordi, Rome’s historic salon, we celebrate Christmas by participating in the olfactory exhibition Profumo di Natale (Scent of Christmas), organised by the Fondo Megas property. The Christmas display is a sensorial journey to be made through the two naves of the Galleria: in the first, with access from Via dei Sabini, one encounters scents associated with the places and moments typical of Christmas, fir trees, moss, and mistletoe, the protagonists of Christmas decorations and landscapes. In the second aisle, with the entrance in Largo Chigi, the aromas of culinary traditions dominate. Profumo di Natale (Scent of Christmas), conceived and produced by Arkage (Artattack Group), is designed to relaunch the Galleria Alberto Sordi, becoming not only an attractive and modern commercial space,
but also a reference point for the city as an elegant and hospitable place in which to organise and participate in cultural and artistic events. In order to emphasise the architectural and historical value of the building, an installation dedicated to Christmas has been designed in the perfect style of the gallery: a Christmas tree that reflects the combination of 19th century splendour and contemporary green culture. The sumptuousness of the gold decorations is intertwined with the use of the latest generation of low-energy LED lighting in the same colour scheme.
Client
An environmentally sustainable, fireproof fir tree, 12 m high, with traditional lines and stylised to best represent the sobriety of the site, embellished with a wraparound ribbon in the classic shade of gold.
To embellish the aisles, 12 chandeliers have been handmade in suspension, harmoniously completing the scene, recalling Baroque and Rococo splendour, with the latest LED light sources. The refined touch enriches the gallery, adorning it with evocative and imperial effects.
