Via dei Fori Imperiali - Human Rights Tree - Municipality of Rome
Video presentation
Job Description
Client MUNICIPALITY OF ROME
For the first time in history a Christmas tree, the Human Rights Tree, emblem of hope and symbol of solidarity, recyclable and interactive, illuminates the most scenic street in the world, Via dei fori imperiali, di cesare, augusto, Nerva e traiano. The lighting ceremony was strongly desired by the Capitoline Assembly on 10/12 on the very occasion of World Human Rights Day established by the UN in 1950.
Client

It is not just a simple tree but an artistic work that fuses tradition, universal values, technological innovation and interactivity: a fir tree in snow-white to fully represent the ethereal purity of the theme, decorated with Christmas balls and gold pendants entirely hand-carved and wrapped in 20,000 latest-generation LED lights. The ceremony was attended by the mayor Roberto Gualtieri, the president of the Capitoline assembly Svetlana Celli and as special guest the television presenter Mara Venier, who in a warm voice and fully involved, recalled the importance of sending a message of peace and hope.
The Campidoglio Tree, the festive symbol of Rome at Christmas 2024, is intended to make people reflect on the importance of always putting the person and his dignity at the centre in such a critical historical moment marked by wars, inequalities and social crises. It is the tree of Rome that, with the historic opening of the holy door on 29/12, embraces the whole world, projecting ideals such as peace, human rights and inclusion.
